Logically, she knew it couldn't have been that long, but the mist that separated her island home from the rest of the world had a way of muddling things. Bringing her boat ashore and hauling it up out of the reach of the tide, she looked around with a frown. Sure, she wasn't the most well-traveled resident of Wolf Spring, but she still knew Fennbirn fairly well. And this terrain- this was nothing like Fennbirn.
"Cam," Jules said to her companion, a tawny mountain cat that traipsed along beside her. "I don't know what's going on, but I'm not sure I like it."
