The Coast Near the Preserve, Tuesday Morning
Juillenne had been rowing for what felt like days, ever since she'd decided to turn around and head back to Fennbirn. On the way out, after all, it had sent that terrible storm, the one that had-
No. She wasn't going to think about Joseph right now. She couldn't.
Bringing her boat ashore and hauling it up out of the reach of the tide, she looked around with a frown. Sure, she wasn't the most well-traveled resident of Wolf Spring, but she still knew Fennbirn fairly well. And this terrain- this was nothing like Fennbirn.

except herwas supposed to have a war-gift strong enough to move something like a boat.Beside her, Camden tensed, and let out a low, rumbling growl. Jules placed a hand on the mountain cat's shoulder and used her other to point to a spot where the sand started to turn more to soil. "There should be good," she managed. "Thank you."
